Reid Landry Garrant was a 22 year old young man who graduated from Pentucket Regional High School in 2014. He played Varsity Football & Lacrosse and went on to play football for The University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth. During high school, Reid and his family lived in West Newbury and Merrimac and he was well-loved by his family, friends and the entire Pentucket community.
On June 1, 2018, Reid passed away from Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia or APML/APL - a cancer of the white blood cells, after only being diagnosed the previous day from Dana Farber Cancer Institute doctors. Reid’s Foundation was born out his family wanting to honor his name and give back to other families having to deal with Leukemia.
Reid’s motto was “Family, God & Football” and this statement is what will guide his foundation’s mission to help others. Scholarships and awards are set up in Reid’s name at Pentucket Regional High School. A fund has also been established to help families dealing with Leukemia and his foundation will work to create awareness & funding working with institutions such as Dana Farber Cancer Institute, American Red Cross, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Be The Match and individual families.
Your generous donation will help save lives! 100% of the proceeds will go towards Reid’s Foundation.
With our deepest gratitude,
Reid’s Family/Reid Landry Garrant Foundation
