• Care for “aged out” K9s due to their age and years of service.

• Purchase replacement narcotics detection dogs that have been trained to search for the odor of marijuana. 

• Maintaining an adequate number of in-service dog teams so police agencies can offset the human officer shortages.

• Assist with funding for K9 emergency surgical procedures.

• Provide instantaneous funding in a policing crisis.

• Offset budget deficiencies to support training needs and daily operations.
