The Kentlands Community Foundation annually donates 50% of race proceeds to local charities. In 2020, even during a pandemic year, a total of $12,500 was donated to the City of Gaithersburg Dolores Swoyer Camp Scholarship Fund, Gaithersburg HELP, Mercy Health Clinic, Maryland Senior Olympics, and a scholarship fund for art classes at the Gaithersburg Arts Barn.
