Nathan's Ninjas are back again to educate and advocate for Duchenne muscular dystrophy - the most common degenerative genetic muscle disease in boys. All funds raised will go to fund cutting edge research to find a treatment or cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy and to provide family assistance to those who need it! Duchenne muscular dystrophy is typically diagnosed between the ages of 2 and 6 and primarily affects boys. In fact, 99 percent of the almost 20,000 new cases each year are boys, meaning 1 boy out of every 3,500 will be diagnosed. Although there is still no cure to stop the progression of Duchenne, with continued hope and support from people like you, we know there is more promise than ever before that all of our boys will be able play football with their friends, climb the steps on the school bus, maintain their mobility and independence and live long healthy lives! Ninjas will gather at Heritage Park in Canton once again. We are so excited for the opportunity to make a difference in the fight against Duchenne muscular dystrophy!
