Kassidy is a senior at South Rowan High School.  She resides in China Grove with her parents, Todd and Kathy, and her sister, Kayla.  She attends Charity Baptist Church, where she is an active member of their youth group.  In the summer of 2021, Kas was playing in a softball tournament where she then went into cardiac arrest.  She was airlifted to Brenner Children's Hospital in Winston Salem, where she spent five days fighting for her life.  After 5 days on the ventilator and multiple tests, Kas was diagnosed with a rare heart condition, ARVC.

After her diagnosis, Kas underwent surgery to implant a cardiac defibrillator, which has limited her to minimal activity.  With these restrictions, it has led her to hang up her softball cleats and trade them in for golf shoes.  Going into her junior year, she began playing golf for South Rowan and had a successful season, reaching honors in All County, All Conference, Regional Qualifier, and State Qualifier.

In November of 2022, Kas underwent an ablation to hopefully get rid of the extra arrhythmias that she was having.  After many visits, it was determined that the ablation was not working the way the doctors had planned, so in February of 2023 the doctors went back in and placed a loop recorder, to gain a better understanding of how the arrhythmias are affecting Kas' everyday life.  After gaining information from the recorder for roughly five months, they went back in and removed the loop recorder, and replaced her defribrillator with a defribrillator/pacemaker combination to try and eliminate the amount of arrhythmias that she was feeling throughout the day.

Since then, Kas went on to compete in golf her senior year, yet again accomplishing the honors of All County, All Conference, Regional Qualifier and State Qualifier.  Going into the second day of state play, Kas had to pull out due to having some bad arrhythmias.  Since then, they are still going through multiple tests, testing different medications, and trying to slow the progression of her disease, with the possibility of a heart transplant in the future.  They are so thankful for their team at Levine's, their family and friends, and this community that has stood behind them through this journey.

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline - 2 Timothy 1:7
