The Summer Solstice Ultra Relay

After consultation with our Doggettville Farm venue and anticipation that NC will be lifting most of its Covid restrictions in regards to capacity for events we are planning to PROCEED with the Summer Solstice Ultra Relay which will be sponsored by the Weathered Athlete Podcast.  www.weatheredathlete.com

All participants that wish to attend Doggettville will be:  
* prescreened for Covid - 19 symptoms (Unless guidelines change)
* masks while in any common as of today are not necessary.  But we will follow CDC guidelines as stated at time of event
* We will continue to ask those setting up staging area with your supplies to spread out.

***Please Pre Register if you plan to attend Doggettville.  We are exploring options to have same day walk up registrations***.

  If you think you may come but something changes we will continue to offer the Virtual Option.

Luckily, due to our event lasting from Sunrise (6:04 am) to Sunrise (8:41pm) there will be plenty time in the day and plenty of room for people to spread out over the 1 mile course.  

We are exploring options on food and beverage.  More details to follow as we continue to explore guidance

We respect your decision if you do not want feel ready to join us.  We have added a Virtual option which will allow you to support our great cause while keeping your social distance. 

Lastly, we want to thank all of you and hope you will support our cause. The inaugural event had 113 runners raising over $6000 and that would not have been a success without you.  Last year we were able to raise $1200 despite our limited attendance due to covid. 

Team Challenge - Crohns and Colitis Foundation appreciates your support.  We purposely set the registration fee at $5 (donations greatly appreciated) as a cost effective way to allow families and groups to participate and help raise awareness for those with Crohns and Colitis. Their illness and needs did not disappear when Covid-19 arrived.  The stresses and lack of ability/willingness to seek medical attention places them at a higher risk for flare ups and medical complications due to the nature of their autoimmune disease.  Every dollar donated can go a long way to improve their medical options and can provide funding for programs to improve their quality of life.
