We are excited to announce that we have partnered again with Doggettville this year and will be using its 1 mile loop for the Summer Solstice Ultra Relay - Part 2. They have graciously allowed us the venue to put on another epic event. However, due to the current Covid-19 pandemic we have had to make some modifications to our event. We apologize for any inconvience.
We are working with Guilford County to make sure we comply with all health and safety recommendations. Due to this we are offering a virtual option. We encourage all virtual runners to find a 1 mile loop which allow the ability to set up a home base. For those willing to join us at Doggettville we will be limiting participants and spectators to 25 people at a time. We are working on a way to sign up for time slots. Those interested in logging some serious miles you will have 1st option on blocks of time or doing some miles on your own home course to be added to days total. This event will be completely self sustained and we will not have a beverage or food staging area. Luckily this is a farm and there will be plenty of space to spread out.
In 2019 we had 113 runners who ran a combined 1164 miles and were able to raise $6000 for the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. We hope to make this year even bigger with your help. We ask you to help spread the word to family and friends as a way to encourage each other at this time and to be part of something truly epic and positive. Let’s take over the longest day of the year and demonstrate the power that can be done as a group and help honor those that are living with Crohn’s & Colitis. May your 1 mile loops allow you the time for self reflection and prayer for all those suffering at this time.
Our goal is to have runners/walkers on the Doggettville 1 mile loop at all times to help provide motivation for those running virtually.
We have simplified our registration. We have 3 options Individual and virtual. Virtual is broken down into individual and Group. If you have a business, social group or family feel free to sign up for Virtual Group to have all your miles counted together. Cost is $5 per participant. We hope you will feel it in your heart to either make a donation or ask those around you to sponsor any miles you complete.
Event will start at 6:02 am and end at 8:39 pm. But you are able to start or finish any time that works for your schedule.
We are working on a reporting system that will include all of your days totals whether at Doggettville or done virtually.
All Proceeds to benefit Team Challenge - Crohn’s & Colitis Fundation. More more information on our fundraising please visit teamidure.com
