Rochester Rotary Sunshine Camp
Rochester Rotary Sunshine Camp is a fully accessible residential summer camp that has met the needs of children and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and city youth for over 100 years.
Situated on 157-acres in Rush, NY, it is the only camp facility of its kind in Greater Rochester that provides traditional camping experiences for 2,500 children in the Greater Rochester community with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Sunshine Camp offers state-of-the-art experiences for campers, including a rock climbing wall, zipline, Olympic sized swimming pool, archery course, fully accessible wooden treehouse, arts and crafts, splash pad, boating and fishing, and the Gizzi Family Sensory Center.
Rochester Rotary Sunshine Camp is owned by Rochester Rotary Charitable Trusts Inc. and operated by the Rochester Rotary Club. The facility hosts summer camps held by Rochester Rotary as well as eight partner agencies. Additionally, the facility is utilized by non-profits throughout the area in the offseason as accessible rental space for respite programs, conferences, retreats, meetings, and more.
