FAQ
1: Where is the 2026 race being held? The 2026 Lilac Run will be at Highland Park at the Lilac Festival in its original location.
2: What are the event options for 2026? Answer: There is an event for everyone! There will be an in-person 5K, 10K and Tim Hortons Timbits Trot which will all be held on Sunday, May 17th as well as well the Virtual 5K & Virtual 10K which can be completed anytime between May 8th and May 17th during the 10 day long Lilac Festival.
3: What is included in my registration? Answer: Depends on which event you choose. Virtual events include a giveaway item (short sleeve shirt), medal and a virtual bib. In person events include the same items plus a physical high-quality bib and post race food and after party.
4: How do I guarantee getting an event t-shirt? Answer: Register by Thursday, April 30th to be guaranteed an event t-shirt for all the events (5K & 10K in person and virtual, & Tim Hortons Timbits Trot).
5: Tell me more about the Giveaway Options! Answer: Included in your registration is a short sleeve tri-blended unisex shirt. Participants may opt out of the shirt if they select "No thank you!."
6: When and how can I log my Virtual results? When will I get my swag? Answer: The Virtual 5K and Virtual 10K will open up for recording of results starting on Friday, May 8th and will be open thru the in person 2026 event on Sunday, May 17th. You may log your results via self-service by going to your RunSignUp profile, finding our event in your "Upcoming Events" or "Past Events" and then clicking on "Submit Results". If you choose to have your swag shipped to you during registration those items will be mailed out after the in person race starting the week of May 17th.
7: How do I change my Giveaway option? Answer: You may do so via self-service thru Wednesday, April 30th by going to your RunSignUp profile, finding our event in your "Upcoming Events" and then clicking on "Manage Registration". From there simply find the item in the left menu of items to make the changes. Starting Wednesday, May 1st any change requests must be sent via email for us to process.
8: How does the Tim Hortons Timbits Trot work? Answer: One mile, and timbit donuts! Participants will run a half mile, get their timbits to go, and then run a half mile back to the finish line. It is the perfect family friendly event for everyone! The event begins at 11:30am on Sunday, May 17th.
