Farm Fresh 5K & Kids Fun Run

Donation Goal: $50,000

This year, we will be raising funds for the WellSpan York Cancer Patient Help Fund. The Diane Miller Gift of Hope Fund (GOHF) was created in honor of Miller Plant Farm’s (host location) own Diane Miller, who lost her battle with pancreatic cancer June 16, 2018. The GOHF is a volunteer-driven, non-profit organization founded in 2019 dedicated to supporting cancer patients and their families during hardships created by a cancer diagnosis. When she was receiving her cancer treatments, Diane met many patients who were struggling and wanted to help. She learned of the WellSpan York Cancer Patient Help Fund. This fund raises money for cancer patients and gives 100% to these patients. Diane began supporting this charity and her family and dear friends could think of no better way to honor Diane than to continue supporting those who continue in their fight against cancer. To date, we have raised more than $100,000 to the WellSpan York Cancer Patient Help Fund.

At some time, all of us have been or know someone who has been affected by cancer.  As a community, we need to make our best effort to support each other.

100% of proceeds benefit WellSpan York Cancer Patient Help Fund. WellSpan York Cancer Center and their caring staff have supported us in ways we didn’t even know possible. Located on the Apple Hill Medical Campus, the state-of-the-art WellSpan York Cancer Center is designed with their patients' care journey in mind. Their expert team of medical, surgical, and radiation oncologists, along with specially trained nurses and therapists, offer comprehensive treatment for the body, mind and spirit through the entire cancer journey. Cutting edge therapeutic options are provided, from screening and diagnosis, through treatment, support and recovery, all in one convenient location.

As part of WellSpan’s cancer program, The Cancer Center has an expanded collaborative with Johns Hopkins Medicine providing access to clinical trials, cancer subspecialists for second opinions and improved genomics capabilities. The board-certified, fellowship-trained oncologists at the York Cancer Center follow Johns Hopkins Medicine clinical protocols and quality standards.

In the fight against cancer, our patients deserve the best care where and when they need it. Patients now have more convenient access to groundbreaking cancer research and treatment without leaving the comfort of their community.

Please assist in our efforts to raise money for this wonderful facility located in our backyard.
