The Thankful Ones is a local 501(c)(3) charitable organization run entirely by volunteers. Our growth has been closely tied to the Pecan Grove Turkey Trot and our engagement with other non-profits, resulting in a significant increase in requests for adoption support. Simply put: the more funds we raise, the more children and families we can assist.
By donating to The Thankful Ones, you directly support foster children and adoptive families in the Greater Houston and West Texas areas. All donations fund our Adoptive Family Grant Program, which helps families cover attorney fees, state-mandated costs, and other adoption-related expenses. To ensure transparency, payments are made directly from TTO to the invoicing entity, typically the family's adoption attorney.
We want to extend a huge thank you to our Trotters, donors, and sponsors. Since 2022, TTO has awarded over $250,000 in assistance grants to over 80 foster children and adoptive families. Your continued support makes a tangible difference in creating forever families.
