Your Impact

We're excited to share how your participation in The Thankful Ones Pecan Grove Turkey Trot makes a real difference. Your involvement directly supports local foster children and adoptive families throughout Greater Fort Bend County-Houston and West Texas.

The funds raised support our Adoptive Family Grant Award Program, which helps families manage the significant costs associated with child adoption, including attorney fees, state-mandated fees, and court costs. Grants are paid directly from The Thankful Ones to the invoicing entity—such as the family's adoption attorney or the courts—ensuring efficient, transparent support.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our Trotters, Donors, and Sponsors, The Thankful Ones has awarded over $400,000 in adoption assistance grants to more than 100 adoptive families and foster children since 2022.
