5th Annual
2013 Turkey Trot 5k Run Wellness Walk
At Mount Vernon High School
This year’s event is shaping up to be our best ever! With the help of our business community donors, this event raises thousands of dollars to help children in need from the Mount Vernon High School community. Our Turkey Trot combines the best for all levels of runners, professionally managed and timed with micro-chips, beautiful and fun course and the spirit of our Mount Vernon neighbors. Prizes such as eReader/Tablet, frozen turkeys, gift cards are awarded to the top participants in every category. Our children need your help, so run or walk, rain or shine.
Proceeds from the MVHS Cares 5K Turkey Trot will benefit the MVHS Cares Emergency Fund to help provide education related assistance and incentives for MVHS students as well as volunteering student organizations.
Early Packet Pickup and Race Schedule
Saturday November 16- Race Starts at 8:30am.
Early Packet pickup schedule and race registration Friday November 15, 2013 3:00pm-7:00pm @ MVHS at Entrance #4 across from the Football field.
Race Day Registration begins at 7:00am to 8:00am at Mount Vernon High School at Entrance #4.
COST
$20.00 for the 5K race for Adults until 10/27/2013, after 10/27/2013 $25.00. $20.00 for 18 and under at all times. $20.00 for Active Military and family members. $20.00 for FCPS Employees at all times.
Race Day Cost - $30.00 for all registrants
*Please Bring Proof of age and Active Military ID to packet pickup for confirmation.

Chronotrack Timing and Scoring
Computerized timing operated by Race DC Timing (www.racedctiming.com) will be used to score the 5K. The System uses a computer tag embedded in the Bib (B-tag) and records the exact time a runner crosses the starting line and the finish line, resulting in a net time for each runner. The B-Tag is disposable. Overall awards will be based upon Gun Time and Age group awards will be based upon Net Times.
