BRUCE BARNES was a beloved and dedicated member of the Charlottesville Track Club (CTC) throughout the 80s. Fast (51 minutes for 10 miles) but humble, Bruce gave to our sport more than he took. Please make a donation, in his name, for any amount to the CTC to help fund the Skip Kinnier Scholarship. Thank you!
Established in 1976, the CTC is the driving force behind running in Central Virginia. The CTC directs the most popular local races including New Year's Day 5K, Women's 4 Miler, Charlottesville Ten Miler, Bruce Barnes Mile, All-Comers Summer Track Meet Series, and Rivanna Greenbelt Marathon & Half Marathon. These not-for-profit races attract thousands of runners and raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for local charities annually.
