Spike Clayton was co-owner of SkiRack and was instrumental in getting the Sugarhouse Snowshoe 5K off the ground in 2019. He and his family were no strangers to Racevermont.com, as we saw them many, many times over the years. We are pleased to be raising money in his behalf for the Spike Clayton Memorial Scholarship.
The Spike Clayton Memorial Scholarship commemorates a life devoted to the enjoyment of sport. Spike's passion for sports inspired anyone who interacted with him. He shared his expertise generously, making everyone realize their value to the sport by recognizing their contributions. NWVE is honored to carry on Spike's legacy by awarding a Vermont Nordic Skier embodying his mantra, Be Positive - Work Hard - Never Give Up with this award.
