Course Overview
Runners, joggers and walkers will join Trevor & Tracy on a trip through the NoHo Arts District in the heart of Los Angeles, where they will be treated with fantastic mountain views while being greeted by cheering crowds, classic cars, DJs pumping the tunes, 40 foot inflatable Turkeys and more.
Ask yourself, is it really Thanksgiving if you don't run by a 40 foot tall Turkey?
Course FAQs
This environment is not a good place for most dogs.
Dogs must be within 12 inches of their owner at all times. Absolutely NO extendable leashes allowed. Owner can not be wearing earbuds, shokx, or anything that diminishes their ability to fully hear everything around them. Dogs must start in the back of the starting corral, behind all walkers, out of respect for other participants who may have allergies or phobias of dogs and who do not want to be forced to be next to one at the event.
If your dog trips, bites, nips or in does anything that causes injury or other harm to another participant, you will be held personally liable as this is not covered by the event insurance.
Even a very well behaved and socialized dog is likely to be anxious and may act differently at an event like ours where they are going to be exposed to:
- An unusually large group of people, many of whom are anxious themselves at the start of the event. Something a dog can smell and which will impact their behavior.
- Other leashed and anxious dogs
- Loud music as well as unexpected noises (like the horn that starts the race)
There are multiple aid stations throughout the course that will provide you with water.
Aid station #1 is at the corner of Magnolia and Lankershim. All 5k and 10k participants will pass this spot 3 times.
- A quarter mile into the race
- One Kilometer into the race and
- Three Kilometers into the race
Aid station #2 is at the corner of Kittridge and Lankershim. 10K participants will pass this spot twice.
- 4.1 miles into the race and
- 4.65 miles into the race
The finish line closes at 10:30am. All runners and walkers must be finished at this time.
