This environment is not a good place for most dogs.
Dogs must be within 12 inches of their owner at all times. Absolutely NO extendable leashes allowed. Owner can not be wearing earbuds, shokx, or anything that diminishes their ability to fully hear everything around them. Dogs must start in the back of the starting corral, behind all walkers, out of respect for other participants who may have allergies or phobias of dogs and who do not want to be forced to be next to one at the event.
If your dog trips, bites, nips or in does anything that causes injury or other harm to another participant, you will be held personally liable as this is not covered by the event insurance.
Even a very well behaved and socialized dog is likely to be anxious and may act differently at an event like ours where they are going to be exposed to:
- An unusually large group of people, many of whom are anxious themselves at the start of the event. Something a dog can smell and which will impact their behavior.
- Other leashed and anxious dogs
- Loud music as well as unexpected noises (like the horn that starts the race)
To pick up a packet for another participant, please print out and have them sign the Dash Waiver Form (Every participant is required to bring a signed waiver to Packet Pickup) and bring it physically with you to Packet Pickup, along with a copy of their government issued I.D. (A photocopy or picture on your phone will work for the ID.). You must have the waiver printed on paper. You can download and print a copy of the waiver here.
We will not have any copies available at Packet Pickup.
We expect the event to sell out, please check our social media for the latest. If there are spots still available, you will be able register on this website with a credit card. You can pay cash in person but expect to wait in line for a while.
