Race Day Schedule

Date: Sunday, September 13th, 2026

Location: Granite Bay High School

  • 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM: Morning-of Bib Pickup (Limited availability; Saturday pickup highly encouraged!)
  • 8:15 AM: Race Day Warm-ups (Led by Olympic Gold Medalist Lashawn Merritt & Drew Nelson from Mind Over Matter)
  • 8:30 AM: 10K & 5K Race Start (Chip Timed)
  • 10:00 AM: ¼ Mile Kids Race (Ages 7 & Under)
  • 10:15 AM: ¼ Mile Kids Race (Ages 8–10)
  • 10:30 AM: Awards Ceremony
  • The Race Day Experience

Stick around after your run to enjoy the festivities at the main stage and Sponsor Zone:

  • Fuel & Refreshments: Coffee from Pourch Co., Jamba Juice smoothies, plus breakfast and treats.
  • Sponsor Zone: Interactive games, local vendors, face painting, balloon twisting, and giveaways.
  • Entertainment: Live music by local band, Malpractice 916, along the course by the Olympus and Granite Bay High School Bands.

Parking, Safety & Course Info

  • Parking: Available on-site at Granite Bay High School.
  • Course Details: Roads are not closed to traffic. All participants must obey pedestrian laws and stay to the shoulder of the road.
  • 10K Runners: Please note that the 10K course consists of two laps.
  • Strollers: Strollers are welcome! For safety purposes, please line up at the back of the starting pack.

At the Granite Bay 5K, we love celebrating every ounce of effort, speed, and community spirit! Whether you are a competitive runner chasing a podium finish or a kiddo sprinting for the finish line, we have some fantastic prizes and medals waiting for you at our Awards Ceremony at 10:30 AM.

Here is a breakdown of what you can win across our different events:

The 10K Race Medals

Think you have what it takes to conquer the two-lap 10K course? We are honoring the fleetest of foot on the main stage.

  • Overall Podiums: Custom medals will be awarded to the Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female overall finishers.

The 5K Race Medals & Age Groups

Our 5K event welcomes a huge range of ages and paces, and we want to make sure our incredible youth and overall runners get their moment in the spotlight!

Medals will be awarded to the Top 3 Male & Top 3 Female finishers in the following divisions:

1/4-Mile Kids' Fun Run (Ages 10 & Under)

Every single child who participates in the Kids' Fun Run is a winner in our eyes! We want to fuel their love for staying active, so we are making sure no one goes home empty-handed.

  • Every Finisher Receives: An official Finisher Ribbon to proudly display plus a coupon for a FREE pizza!

A Note on Finisher Ribbons

Not running for a top podium spot? No problem! All participants across the 5K, 10K, and Kids Race will receive a beautiful Finisher Ribbon as they cross the finish line to celebrate their incredible achievement and support for the Eureka Schools Foundation.

Stick Around! The official Awards Ceremony kicks off at 10:30 AM at the main stage. Grab a smoothie from Jamba Juice or a coffee from Pourch Co., head over to the stage, and let's cheer on our community champions together!
