All teams start in front of the beautiful Coconino County Fairground grandstand. This beautiful facility is set amid the tall trees of a large ponderosa pine forest. After the start everyone will race around the track for one mile of fun jockeying their competitors and
working with their burro partner for optimal trail racing position. The course exits next to the grandstand and onto a cinder path. The 3 mile race will be marked with pink flags. Please stay on designated trails and don’t cut the switchbacks. The 3 mile course
consists of .75 mile racetrack 2.5 miles of single track trail with several areas wide enough to pass. The finish line is back in front of the grandstand.

Fort Tuthill County Park. There are 3 paved road crossings so please use caution and pay close attention when crossing pavement. The 6 mile course will be marked with blue flags. Please stay on the designated trails and don’t cut the switchbacks. The
finish line will be back in front of the grandstands.

working with their burro partner for optimal trail racing position. The course exits next to the grandstand and onto a cinder path. The 9 mile course consists of .75 mile around the track and 5 miles of single and double track trail in the beautiful pines of Fort Tuthill
County Park. At mile 4 the course takes a turn onto the Highland trail to make a 3 mile technical loop thru the Coconino National Forest returning back to finish the last 2 miles with the 6 mile teams. There are 3 paved road crossings so please use caution and pay close attention when crossing pavement. The 9 mile course is marked with yellow flags. Please stay on the designated trails and don’t cut the switchbacks. The finish line will be back in front of the grandstands.

Want to participate in the race, but cannot make it to Flagstaff? You can choose your course, 3, 6 or 9 miles, and track your run anywhere in the world. Log and take a picture during your personal race and send it to our race director and you will receive a swag bag AND a finisher prize! Your off-site race must be completed by 6/26/27. NOTE: Swag bags will be sent the following week after the race on 6/26/27.

If running with a burro isn't your thing, we won't make you do it! You can still register and support Forever Home Donkey Rescue and the Burros in the Pines Pack Burro Race. You will receive a race swag bag as a thank you for your support! NOTE: Swag bags will be sent the following week after the race on 6/26/27.
