How about a Trail Half that takes you along some incredible western AZ desert trails to a lighthouse perched high above the shores of the Colorado River? Well then this is the race for you!

The Pilot Rock Punisher Half will have you running a mix of fast single track as well as a section of an old mining road that will let you stretch your legs out with your friends running next to you.

Modest elevation changes throughout the race will make this a fun and doable trail half for those looking to dip their toes into a longer distance race on dirt.

You'll hit the shoreline of Lake Havasu with the infamous Pilot Rock Lighthouse towering overhead at mile 9.75. A quick aid station or even a dip in the lake may not be out of the question depending on those March temps.

The final 3.5 miles will have you back tracking on some of the two track before hitting some new single-track routes as you bring it home.

Start time is set to be at or near sunrise giving runners the advantage of cooler temps. It's going to be a glorious sunrise run.

Our 13k will take runners along some incredible single track and old mining roads in the greater SARA Park area. The elevation changes are modest making this a fun route that winds its way to the infamous Pilot Rock Lighthouse on beautiful Lake Havasu.

Runners will hit the shoreline at Pilot Rock beach with the Lighthouse towering overhead at mile 4.9. You're just over halfway. What a perfect time for a quick aid station if needed or a dip in the lake depending on those March temps.

The return trip will have you running on two-track until you hit a new section of single track that will bring ya back to the finish line.

FOUR HOUR TIME LIMIT - Timer cut off time.

The shortest route to Pilot Rock and back is over 7 miles (13k) so we wanted to offer a run route that would be fun yet challenging for those looking to hit the dirt but not up for the nearly 8 mile journey out to Pilot Rock 13k.

We've put together a 7k BFL (big fat loop) fun run/hike. This race will follow the same route as the 13k up until the point the 13k runners make a turn and head down to the Lighthouse.

This is a scenic 7k that is made up of both single track and old mining road trails. You'll encounter several short ups and downs making for a fun and flowing trail. Big horn sheep traverse this corridor so be sure to glance up into the hills once ya hit the old mining road. Whatever ya do....don't trip.

So get signed up! Remember everything's better with friends so grab a few and let's hit the dirt.

So we've designed a new, fun and maybe a tad more challenging but still short kids Dusty Desert Dirt Dash. Parents must accompany any kids under 6 and are encouraged to run with kids of any age who you need the assistance or guidance.
