STAR Walk, 5k Run & Roll---------------- TO BENEFIT OUR NEIGHBORS WITH DISABILITIES

THIS IS A TIMED EVENT. Join us and run (or walk) thru scenic Sherwood Island State Park. You will encounter picturesque sights and sounds as you run on hard-packed sand, cinder trails and tarred paths. There won't be any traffic so you'll be able to concentrate on your run and enjoy the awesome views along the coast. You'll even be able to see the NYC skyline on a clear day (and it WILL be a clear day!)
EVERYONE in this event is eligible for awards & prizes whether you run or walk - overall M&F champions as well as age groups 9 & under, 10-13, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

We will have great t-shirts for you (please register early by 4/24 to guarantee shirt size- after that as available). There’s lots of food and fluids when you are done. It's all part of a great event hosted by STAR, Inc. that also includes a shorter walk & kids fun run so bring friends and family (and kids of all ages) even if they don't run- they can register on race day.

This option - an untimed event- is designed for all abilities to walk or stroll at your own pace. Great for families and little tykes. There are no awards associated with this event distance.

Our virtual event encourages supporters and friends of STAR Inc to receive our event shirt and bib - even though they can’t be with us. Thank you for being a part of our extended event family! Your virtual registration donation includes postage and handling.

A new event this year. It’s free and fun. No awards, no drama! Just enjoy the trot. Parents can run with the little ones that need support along the way. Then be sure to let the kids enjoy all of the activities including Fun Bus, face-painting, crafts, yard games, balloon sculpting, nature center petting zoo, dancing, and more!
