COVID 19 HEALTH SAFETY PRACTICES
We are taking a number of steps to enhance the health safety of the event for the participants, volunteers and staff, including:
Masks will be required for all participants and spectators in the starting area, for the first 200 meters of the race, and immediately after completion of the race.
We will have distanced packet pickup tables to minimize contact.
We will ask people to stay away from the starting area until we call them up to start the race
We will use bib chips rather than shoe chips so that we won't need volunteers to remove them after they complete the race. We won’t have any volunteers in the finish chute. A water station will be set up just past the finish chute where participants will be able to pick up a bottle of water; these efforts will reduce participant contact with volunteers.
We will text their times to the finishers who have signed up to receive them and will have a QR code on their bib numbers that will allow them to get their time with their smartphone.
We will mail age group and overall awards to them after the race to reduce the need for participants to hang around after the race.
In these uncertain times, it is possible that we will have to make the race virtual again this year, but our intent is this to be an in-person event.
Start Time: 9:00am CDT
