Description
This is the eighth annual School 2 School Memorial 5K race hosted by Tonganoxie High School's Cross Country program
This race was originally organized in honor of Marilyn Weller to provide a scholarship opportunity to seniors at THS. Marilyn Weller graduated from the University of Kansas and worked as a physical therapist in the Leavenworth County schools for 32 years. She lived a full and meaningful life, inspiring those around her with devotion to family, friends, church, and the community. Her kindness and loving personality will never be forgotten. Half the proceeds from this year's race will be donated to the Marilyn Weller memorial scholarship.
The second half of the proceeds from this year's race will be donated in memoriam to the Mark Altman memorial scholarship. He served at Tonganoxie Middle School from 2006 until his passing, first as assistant principal and then as principal since 2015. Mark was an honorable and devoted man. His actions were intentional and thoughtful, and he knew how to make each moment meaningful through small but heartfelt gestures. It was never too late, and he was never too tired or too busy for those he loved.

Awards
5K: Awards and medals for overall top male and female runners. Medals for top male and female runners in each of the following age divisions:
14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60 and over.
Pick up your awards after the race at the awards table - there will not be an awards ceremony
Packet Pickup and Parking
Packet Pickup and Race Day Registration : Sunday, April 21, 2024 8:00 AM to 8:45 AM in front of the new gym - in the event of inclement weather, we will move packet pickup into the foyer in front of the new gym
Race Day Parking: THS Campus, north lot. USD 464 Admin center (old west campus) north lot or behind the new THS Learning Center
Water and Snacks
Bottles of water will be provided at the end of the race for runners.
Restrooms
Restrooms will be accessible at the start/finish line.

Results will be posted online at www.kcrunningcompany.com
Course Map
This year, we will run the "midnight run loop" that starts and ends at the high school.
Main - 4th - up Pleasant - Washington - Church - around the library - down 4th and back on Main to the high school
Race T-shirt
Participants who register on or before April 9, 2024 will be guaranteed a t-shirt on race day. Those who register after April 9 are not guaranteed a shirt.
