Meals On Wheels Western Michigan March for Meals

Sign up now for the 5th Annual March for Meals Community Walk, a family-friendly 2-mile walk, scoot or roll for people of all ages and abilities. The walk through beautiful fields, wetlands, and woods is in support of the health and independence of older adults in West Michigan. Be sure to wear your food-themed costume to win prizes for best-dressed adult, kid, and dog! We can't wait to walk with you come rain, snow, or shine! Friendly dogs (on a leash) are welcome!

Location: The Grant Pavilion in Millennium Park, 1400 Maynard Ave SW Grand Rapids, MI 49534. There is plenty of free parking available on site. 

Time: Packet pickup and activities under the pavilion begin at 9:00 am on race day. We will have a brief welcome and warm-up at 10:00 am with the run beginning at 10:15 am and the walk shortly after. An alternative packet pickup is also available the Friday before the race at Meals on Wheels Western Michigan in Grandville from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm.

Price: The price of the walk is the same as the run this year and is $35 (increasing to $40 on February 14th and $45 on event day). A timing bib, race shirt, and race medal are included in the walk price. You may opt out of getting a shirt for a $10 discount. There is an option to finisher medal for your dog upon check-out for an additional fee. Kids under 8 are free, so there is no need to register anyone 0-7 years old!

Awards will be given to the top 3 overall male runners and the top 3 overall female runners. Additional age group awards will be given to the top male and female runners in the following age groups:

Join us from afar wherever you are, on your own time! For $35 we will send you a race packet including a t-shirt. Map out your own 2-mile walk or 5k run and join in the fun by submitting your time and photos and tagging us on social. Register by 3/12 to receive your mailed race packet in time to participate by race day.
