Meals On Wheels Western Michigan March for Meals

Our 3rd Annual March for Meals Community Walk is a family-friendly event for people of all ages and abilities to come together in support of the health and independence of older adults in West Michigan. Friendly dogs (on a leash) are welcome!

The 2-mile walk begins at the Grant Pavillion in Millenium Park, located at 1400 Maynard Ave SW, Grand Rapids, MI 49534. There is plenty of free parking available on site. The walk winds through beautiful fields, wetlands, and woods.

Packet pickup, activities, and the vendor tent begins at 9:00 am in the pavilion. We will have a brief welcome and warm-up at 10:00 am with the run beginning at 10:15 am and the walk shortly after. An alternative packet pickup is also available the Friday before the race at Meals on Wheels Western Michigan in Grandville from 4:00pm - 6:00pm.

The price is $10 per person (increasing to $20 for day of registration), with the option to add on a race t-shirt or bandana upon check-out. Kids under 6 are free, so there is no need to register anyone 0-5 years old!

Our food-themed costume contest was a big hit last year, we hope you choose to participate! Prizes will be awarded to the best-dressed adult, kid, and dog!

The 5K run begins at the Grant Pavillion in Millenium Park, located at 1400 Maynard Ave SW, Grand Rapids, MI 49534. There is plenty of free parking available on site. You can look forward to running through beautiful fields, wetlands, and woods as you loop back to Grant Pavilion for the finish line.

The price is $30 (increasing to $40 for day of registration) and includes a race t-shirt and finishing metal. Runners who register after March 1st are not guaranteed a race shirt (but will likely still get one).

Awards will be given to the top 3 overall male runners and the top 3 overall female runners. Additional age group awards will be given to the top male and female runners in the following age groups:

-20-29
-30-39
-40-49
-50-59
-60-69
-70+

Additionally, prizes will be awarded to those who come in the best-dressed food-themed costume!

Join us from afar wherever you are, on your own time! For $35 we will send you a race packet including a t-shirt. Map out your own 2-mile walk or 5k run and join in the fun by submitting your time and photos and tagging us on social. Register by 3/12 to receive your mailed race packet in time to participate by race day.
