Hustle For Habitat

This is a 5K run/walk on a grassy trail surrounded by lush farmland and pollinator fields. Open to all ages.

The 5K event is chip timed. Awards are given to the Overall Winners (Men and Women) and the Top 3 Men and Top 3 Women finishers by specified age categories. All 5K runners registered prior to July 10, 2025, will receive a newly designed race t-shirt.

This is a great event for anyone wanting to participate and join the fun without having to do the longer route. This is not a timed race. All finishers will receive a participation award.

Based on feedback we received from the event in 2024, we have offered a "Combo" event so that you can participate in the Rooster Run 5K and the 1 Mile Strut for one reduced price.

This is a great option for anyone who wants to participate in the 1 Mile Strut first (not timed, maybe run as a warmup), and then take on the longer (chip-timed) Rooster Run 5K.

We realize that not everyone can be in Pelican Rapids on race day, so we are offering the virtual Rooster Run 5K. It is open to anyone who wants to participate in the race at a different location, and not be on-site on race day.

It is a great option is you want to be involved in the 2nd Annual Hustle For Habitat event hosted by the Pelican River Pheasants Forever chapter.

Virtual results can be submitted online at any time up to 5:00pm on race day.
