We wanted to personally thank you for being willing to participate in the first-ever Cornelius Small Business Stroll 5K. Your openness to be part of something new and community-driven truly meant a lot. After careful consideration, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel the event, as we did not reach the participation numbers needed to make it worthwhile for the experience we hoped to create. All participant registrations will be fully refunded. Our intention from the start was to celebrate Cornelius Small Businesses and drive meaningful traffic and visibility - and without the right scale, we didn’t feel we could deliver on that in a way that respected your time and investment. That said, the mission remains the same. We will encourage the community to get out on May 9 and continue to support local - stopping into businesses, shopping, dining, and showing their support.
