The GBP Winter Trail Series - Virtual Series

Support the GBP while running/walking the series on your own terms. You have the whole race month to complete and submit your result for each race. (The Hare - December, The Goat - January, and The Coyote - February) Swag and finisher award will be sent out in early March.

The Hare - In-person DECEMBER 19th, 2026 race only

This is for the DECEMBER 2026 - In-person race only!

The first race of the series, this 3.5 mile loop provides a fast and flowy jaunt through the tundra of the high desert. This is a great trail to try out trail running for the first time. If you need more miles join the long course and hit it in reverse and get 7 miles.

The Goat - In-person JANUARY 16th, 2027 race only

THIS IS FOR THE JANUARY 2027 - In-person race only!

The Goat is the second race of the Winter Trails Series and boast the steepest climbs but the best views of the basin, Ortiz and Sandia Mountains.
Enjoy the view and diversity as you traverse this runnable 4.25 mile loop or go long and hit in reverse for 8.5 miles.

The Coyote - In-person FEBRUARY 20th, 2027 race only

THIS IS FOR THE FEBRUARY 2027 - In-person race only!

The Coyote is the fastest, flowiest and longest course of the series and offers a 6.6 mile or half marathon option and ending with a post series celebration.
