Wayne County NY Bicentennial Torch Relay

Day 1 starts at the Wayne County Fairgrounds in Palmyra at 9:00 a.m. and travels from Palmyra to Macedon, Macedon Center, Walworth, Gananda, Lincoln, Ontario Center, and finishes at Casey Park in Ontario.

Day 2 starts at Casey Park in Ontario at 8:00 a.m. and goes through Ontario continuing on to Pultneyville, Williamson, East Williamson, Marion, Fairville, and ends in Sodus at the High School. We will need six runners to complete one mile each on the track to achieve our mileage goal for the day. Sign up for miles 76, 77, 78, 79, 80, and 81 if you are interested in this portion of our Torch Relay. Also, at approximately 6:00, we will have a children's (15 and under) Youth Torch Relay on the track at the school. This portion will be free of charge and participants will receive a commemorative medal for this historical event.

Day 3 begins at the Sodus High School at 8:00 a.m. and continues through the village of Sodus and then on to Sodus Center, Wallington, Sodus Point, Shaker Heights, Huron, Rose, North Rose, and back into Huron finishing the day at Chimney Bluffs State Park.

Day 4 begins at Chimney Bluffs State Park in Huron at 8:00 and moves through Huron continuing on to Wolcott, Red Creek, Butler Center, South Butler, and concludes in Savannah at the Montezuma Audubon Center.

Day 5 starts at 8:00 a.m. from the Montezuma Audubon Center in Savannah and continues to the village of Savannah, Clyde, Lyons, Newark, East Palmyra, and finishes at the Wayne County Fairgrounds in Palmyra. All registered runners are welcome to return and run the last mile from the Byrne Dairy in Palmyra to the Wayne County Fairgrounds as we will be leading the parade to the fairgrounds. You will not need to sign up for the last mile, just show up and enjoy the finish to this Historical event.
