AUSA AFD 5K RUN/WALK CHALLENGE
PACKET PICKUP:
All Packets will be pick-up on race day at the registration table located between the two baseball fields at Geer Park, Salem, OR
PARKING ON RACE DAY:
There is ample parking however additional parking on the street will need to be in accordance to City of Salem parking rules.
COURSE INFO: This relatively flat course will be marked and consists of some bark dust trail that narrows considerably from the asphalt track. Strollers are not recommended during this event.
ABOUT THE PARK:
Geer Park is a beautiful park and has two baseball fields as well as a huge area for local kid’s soccer.
EVENT TIME LINE:
0830-0950 Registration/package pick up
0950 - National Anthem
0955 - All participates move to the Push-up and Sit-up grading area
1000 - Push-up and Sit-ups graded and 1K kids fun run began (Parents are encouraged to run/walk with their kids. )
1100 - 5K Run/Walk starts
AID/WATER STATIONS: There will be an Aid Station at the start/finish line. Water will have two locations at the start and finish lines.
RESTROOMS: There are four restrooms available in front of the Baseball fields.
TIMING SERVICES: Timing will be recorded by Volunteers at the 2 mile mark and finish lines.
DAY OF RACE REGISTRATION: Day of race registration will be offered at a cost of $40 for all participants. Registration will end at 9:50 AM. T-shirt sizes will not be guaranteed for “day of the race registrations”.
AWARDS: Awards will be given for the top three overall males and females .
OTHER INFORMATION:
This race is more than just a fun run so please don’t leave without visiting the entire providers table; they have put aside their Saturday to come out and support this great run.
