Butler County Cannonball Run
CANNONBALL RUN CHALLENGE RULES
Each of the 6 challenge legs must be completed in order.
All of the 5+ mile runs will be completed in order starting from the specific locations already detailed in the event’s challenge description and completed in order:
Jennings Environmental Center, Slippery Rock, PA
Allegheny River Trail, Foxburgh, PA
BFT Sarver Trailhead, Sarver, PA
North Boundary Park, Cranberry Twp, PA
Moraine Bike Rental, Portersville, PA
Upper Alameda Park, Butler, PA
There are NO EXCEPTIONS!
Each of the 6 challenge leg locations serve as a starting point for each run.
Participants must choose and complete their own 5+ mile route, which is part of the challenge and “adventure.”
Each of the 6 challenge legs run must be a minimum of 5 miles. NO EXCEPTIONS!
The total distance of all 6 challenge legs must be equal or greater than 31 total miles or a 50k distance.
If the total distance of all 6 challenge legs equals a number less than 31 miles total you will NOT be credited with completing the challenge. NO EXCEPTIONS!
All 6 challenge legs must be completed within 1 day (24 hour period) anytime between July 1, 2023 and July 31, 2023. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Challenge registration through Runsignup and challenge waiver acceptance is required.
NO EXCUSES OR EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.
Proof of challenge completion must be emailed to the challenge organizers at:
ButlerCountyMilers@Gmail.com
Or activities can be uploaded through the RunSignup page to this email address.
Screenshots of your challenge route maps from Strava, Garmin, Coros, etc. will be accepted by challenge organizers via email.
They must show a timestamp, which refers back to rule #1 that each challenge leg must be completed in order.

CANNONBALL RUN IMPORTANT INFORMATION
This is a fully self-supported challenge.
Participants are expected to provide all necessary hydration, nutrition, equipment, etc. required to complete their challenge.
Use of your car/truck/van, gas stations, restaurants, etc. during the challenge as “rest stops” or “checkpoints” in between challenge legs is absolutely permitted.
Your Strava, Garmin, Coros, etc. Maps do NOT need to be publicly viewable.
Your maps, routes, time stamps, etc. can and should remain private.
However, proof of challenge completion must be submitted to the challenge organizers at: ButlerCountyMilers@Gmail.com
We believe this challenge experience is best shared together with a friend, partner, or group.
Even though this is a virtual challenge we strongly recommend sharing this experience together with others, which we believe builds community, relationships, and enhances your own challenge experience.
The Butler County Cannonball Run is designed to be a Sunrise to Sunset challenge.
Note the final challenge leg destination (Alameda Park) closes at dusk.
Running in the park after dark is not permitted, recommended, nor is it encouraged.
