Harvest Running Festival (Draft)

This is the kick off event to the Harvest Running Festival.
This nighttime cross-country 5K, is the perfect way to start your weekend and challenge your adventurous spirit on this challenging farm course along the Geoghegan Trail. Turn your headlamps on for the 6:30PM start, running across a field onto this incredible greenway path that is maintained by Franklin Township. Depending on what crops the farmer plants this year the course could have you running through a cornfield, a hayfield, or maybe even a vineyard? You'll make your way back to the barn just in time for the bonfire!

There's a reason 13.1 miles is the most popular event distance in the country. It gives you a chance to push yourself out of your comfort zone, but not dramatically alter your life through the training. It's a also a great distance to see a good bit of an area you might not be familiar with.
The Bushel of the Harvest Running Festival is all that and more. Beginning from Fox Chase Farm, in sleepy little Landenberg, PA, you get to run 13.1 of the most beautiful miles in Southern Chester County this fall! You'll pass hundreds of acres of preserved lands, operating farms, large horse pastures, and even run down an old wagon road! You'll finish on a portion of the Geoghegan Trail right back at the farm to a barn party... Giddy-up!

*There is a 3:30 minute (16-minute mile) cutoff time for this race. If you are not at the 9.5 mile marker by 10:00AM you will be asked to leave the course in the safety vehicle provided. After this time aid stations will be closed, police will not be monitoring traffic, roads will be re-opened, making safe passage to the finish very difficult. If you do not feel that you can maintain a 16-minute mile or less over the 13.1 mile course, for your safety, please consider a different event.

The Bounty 26K is for the runner really loves to run, and get lots of swag! This option includes single registration for The Peck 5K Friday night and The Full Bushel 21K Saturday morning. Two events, one fee, special Bounty Runner gear, hardware, and barn party!
