5K Run/Walk

The Course:
Entry Parkway (long road in front of the plant) will be split in two - The two lanes closest to the plant will be used for traffic. The two lanes opposite will only be used for the run.
The run begins and ends at Gate 3 at the far end of Entry Parkway. Staging for the run will take place where the Entry Parkway road ends near Gate 3. Runners and Walkers will begin the race in the staging area, run all the way up entry parkway, turn around at the light just prior to the intersection at Volvo Car Drive and run back toward the staging area and through the finish line under the Fleet Feet Arch.
Parking:
Entry Parkway will be split in two - The two lanes opposite of the plant will only be used for the run and closed off to traffic at 7:30AM. The two lanes closest to the plant will be used for traffic. Drivers will be directed where to park by Volvo Security after pulling off Volvo Car Drive at the light. All lanes will be returned to normal following the conclusion of the race around 11:00AM. Please pay close attention to traffic cones and direction from staff when driving and parking. Parking will be available on site at the regular locations used during the work day. It is advised to park in the lots closest to the event area.
Day-of Race Registration:
Participants are able to join the race day-of, but will not receive a shirt, medal, or timing bib prior to the beginning of the race. Those who signed up prior to the deadline will receive priority for shirt distribution.
Water and Restrooms:
Water stops will be available throughout the course and near the finish. Restrooms will be available near the track.
Fresh fruit/snacks and water will be provided free of charge while supplies last.
Food trucks will be on site to provide meals, snacks, and drinks for purchase.
