Volvo Cars Charleston Health and Safety 5K Run/Walk - October 12, 2024

Hosted by the Volvo Cars Charleston Health and Safety Team!

Join us on October 12th as we celebrate health and wellness with a 5K run/walk. VCCH Team Members, families, and friends are welcome to attend this family-friendly event. All participants will receive a limited edition 2024 Health and Safety 5K T-Shirt, a medal, and a timing bib for the race as long as they are signed up prior to the deadline. Participation in the 5K is NOT REQUIRED for attendance! This race will also qualify for 10 wellness points on Health Advocate.

REGISTRATION TO OBTAIN A SHIRT AND BIB CLOSES ON OCTOBER 4, 2024

• Individuals who do not register by October 4, 2024 at 11:59PM will not receive their T-Shirt, medal and bib in time for the event. 
• You may still attend the event and run in the race without registering if you decide to attend after October 4. We need to use this as a cutoff date to order shirts in a timely fashion. Extra shirts may be available, so stop by the pickup table on race day if you did not register in time.
• Shirt and timing bib pickup will be in the 300 building cafeteria as follows:
  • Thursday, October 10 - 10:00AM-11:00AM
  • Friday, October 11 - 10:00AM - 11:00AM
• Pickup will also be on race day, October 12, between 8:00AM and 9:00AM

We will have food truck vendors, a DJ, bounce houses and yard games, and many of our emergency responders will being their emergency vehicles for another layer of fun and interaction. We will update the website as the list of exciting vendors grows! Make sure to regularly check back to see the updates!

CHILDREN, STROLLERS, AND WAGONS ARE PERMITTED ON-SITE AND IN THE RUN/WALK.
BICYCLES, SCOOTERS, SKATEBOARDS, HOVERBOARDS, AND OTHER SIMILAR EQUIPMENT ARE NOT AUTHORIZED IN THE RUN/WALK OR THE EVENT AREA.
PETS ARE AUTHORIZED ON-SITE DURING THE EVENT AND ON THE RACE COURSE. PLEASE CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR PETS. ENSURE YOUR PET IS COMFORTABLE AROUND OTHER DOGS AND HUMANS!!
CHILDREN ARE NOT TO BE LEFT UNATTENDED DURING THE RUN/WALK, IN THE BOUNCE HOUSES, AT THE FACE PAINTER, OR AT THE VENDOR TABLES AND MUST BE UNDER ADULT SUPERVISION AT ALL TIMES.

THERE ARE NO DRUGS/ALCOHOL ALLOWED AT THIS EVENT.
