Gallop for the Greenways - 1 Miler, 5k, 1.5 Mile Walk and Free Kids Fun Run (Draft)

A downstream race starting at the intersection of Wiley Drive and Winona Avenue and ending on Wiley Drive, between Franklin Road and Jefferson Street.

A short out-and-back on the Roanoke River Greenway starting at the footbridge over the river at the River's Edge Sports Complex. Kids will gallop down Wiley Drive towards the Franklin Road bridge, turning around before the bridge and circling back on the greenway to the footbridge and finish line. This race takes place just before the 5k mile Gallop for the Greenways. The course length is just under one-half mile and parents are invited to run alongside their children.

Beginning at River's Edge, this 5k race winds around the beautiful Roanoke River Greenway to Wasena Park and loops back to the starting line, where festivities await! A RunAbout Sports Water Stop will be located at the end of the loop at Wasena Park.

Walk about one and a half miles from River's Edge Sports Complex to Smith Park and back on this scenic route!
