5k Course Marshal - Start

Details

In the Start area on Wiley Drive at Riverside South;
For the Kids Race (5:00p.m.) - This person will help direct the kids and will be at the the .25 mile mark where the kids run turns off of Wiley and heads back to the finish on the Greenway.
For the 5k (5:15p.m.) - This person is in the same place pointing runners from the 2 lane road to the one lane road heading to Smith Park.
At the same time being aware of any potential traffic coming off of Franklin Road.

5k Course Marshal - Smith Park

Details

This person helps direct runner and walker participants.
Runners run past this point on Wiley, heading towards Wasena and then come back, taking a left onto the path around Smith Park (railroad track side).
In addition, walkers will be turning around at this point. They will have yellow bib numbers.

5k Course Marshal - Green Goat

Details

This point is about a mile into the race. Runners come off of Wiley Drive, onto Winona Avenue, then 8th street and then onto Winchester Heading towards the West entrance into Wasena Park. The task here is to watch out for automobile traffic as racers pass the Green Goat. Paying particular attention to automobiles heading to the Green Goat, to Greenway access point, along with Green Goat patrons that park along Winchester wanting to arrive or leave.

Runners will be entering Wasena Park off of Winchester Avenue and heading south on the Greenway.
Marshals are needed to;
direct runners off of Winchester into Wasena Park.
direct runners past the bridge continuing back toward Smith Park.

The side roads coming into Winchester, leading to Wasena will be closed and barricaded (Permit states street closure as - Winona Avenue, all lanes, just east of 8TH Street). This person is there to check that the barricades are in place and that no auto traffic gets on the course during the race.
