The 5 Mile course begins alongside Lake Michigan on Lakeside Boulevard, continues through Silver Creek Park and then loops back to Red Arrow Park. The Silver Creek Park portion is a challenging cross-country style part of the route course. The beginning and end of this route is on paved streets and sidewalks.
