Memorial Day Mile and 5K

This will be a fast, flat 5K running along the Kanawha Boulevard. The start of the race will be in front of the Sheraton at Haddad Riverfront Park. This is one of a very few handful of races that utilize the boulevard. You won't want to miss this race!! All 5k finishers will receive a huge 4" star shaped Memorial Day Mile and 5K finishers medal.

This is a 1 Mile Race on the Kanawha Boulevard that starts at the same location as the 5K. This will be the RRCA WV State Mile Championship. The course will be out and back and electronically timed. The runners who meet the elite standards (5:00 for Males and 6:00 for Females) will be put in their own starting corral for the race. Any runners who want to do both the 1 Mile Race and 5K Race can register for that under the "DOUBLE" event category. If you complete both you will receive the Mile and the 5K medals. Top 3 in the mile open, male and female will receive awards.
For RRCA Champions: RRCA age group categories are OPEN, Master (40+) GrandMaster (50+) Senior Grand Master (60+) and Pushrim for Men and Women. Only the Champion of each age category will win an RRCA Champion Medallion.

For those of you that just doing one race in the same day isn't enough. Try your hand at a mile race on the always flat and fast Kanawha Boulevard course and come back within a few minutes and race a 5K alongside the scenic Kanawha River. This is a rare event in the Charleston Area so don't miss out!!! Also you will walk away with two massive medals to hang off of your neck!!!
