Memorial Day Mile and 5K

Welcome to the Kananwha Running Club's Mile and 5K Race.  We are partnering with the City of Charleston, WV to provide a top notch race on the very flat, fast Charleston Boulevard.  RRCA has given our race the WV State Mile Championshiop status this year!!!! The mile starts at 7:30 am.  Both mile races will be run together.  RRCA age group categories are OPEN, Master (40+) GrandMaster (50+) Senior Grand Master (60+) and Pushrim for Men and Women. Only the Champion of each age category will win an RRCA Champion Medallion.  After cheering on the milers through the finish line, the 5K race will start at 8:00am.  You also have the option to double in this race and run a mile and a 5K all in the same race.  A very soft tri-blend t-shirt will be given to anyone that registers before May 15th, 2017.  All mile finishers will receive a star medal that is slightly different than the 5k, as the ribbon will be different.  All 5k finishers will receive a huge 4" Star Shaped medal in full color. Packet pick up will be at Roberts Running and Walking May 26th, 2017 from 4-6pm and on race day morning until 7:15 am for the mile and 7:45 am for the 5K.   Awards will be given to the top three in each age group. Age groups will be (1-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+)
