2024 RACE DEDICATION - DR. KANWAL BAWA

The EBC Foundation, Inc. proudly announces that the 11th Annual Every Boob Counts 5K is dedicated to local cancer warrior, Dr. Kanwal Bawa.

Dr. Kanwal Bawa is a Cleveland Clinic trained, board-certified physician, founder of Bawa Medical, mother of two and breast cancer survivor.  On Saturday, June 12, 2021, 6 months after her breast cancer diagnosis and a month after her mastectomy, Dr. Bawa was crowned Ms. Florida 2021.  Her motivation in entering the competition was to inspire cancer patients to live their best life, and to raise awareness for the importance of early detection.  Dr. Bawa has dedicated her medical practice to the rejuvenation and re-invigoration of her patients – from the inside out.  She regularly shares her breast cancer journey to empower women to advocate for their own health so that perhaps one day we’ll live in a world without breast cancer.
