Unfortunately the parade has been cancelled so we are unable to have the 5K.

We will still have the after party and you can stop by and check out the brewery and get your free beer. The official hours of the after party will now be 6-8pm but you are welcome to come before or after that.

The run BEFORE the parade! Thousands of cheering spectators along beautiful, tree-lined, Manatee Avenue make this a unique 5k experience.

Runners will race an out-and-back course along the route of the Hernando de Soto Historical Society Heritage Festival Grand Parade on Manatee Avenue down to around 37th St W and back to downtown Old Main. This is one of the most spectacular parades in the southeastern United States. The start and finish line are directly in front of O'Bricks Grille.

So where does your money go???
Your money (after race expenses are deducted) go to support local student running athletes. The De Soto Grand Parade 5k benefits the Bradenton Runners Club student athletic program which awards scholarships to high school seniors and financial aid to students wishing to attend summer running camps.  Please visit our website for more information.  We are 100% non-profit and our races are supported 100% by volunteers.

Enjoy a beer for a bib, compliments of Magnanimous Brewing!

Following the race, please join us for an additional post-race celebration at Magnanimous Brewing for a refreshing craft brew.  Magnanimous Brewing is hosting a race after party following the DeSoto Grand Parade 5K! Magnanimous will give all race runners a "Beer for a Bib," just bring your race bib tear off strip to the brewery after the race. (This offer is only applicable on race day.)

Manatee Ave. closes off for the parade at 5:30 p.m. so BRC suggests runners be prepared to arrive by 5:00 p.m.

Lots of Parking (3rd/12th Lot, Parking Structures and More)

(If planning to go to Magnanimous Brewing right after the race it might be good to park on the south side of Manatee Ave and walk to the start, that way you can drive there easily.)
