Pink Ribbon 5K Update: October 18 Goes Virtual; In-Person Event Moves to December 13!
New Date: Sunday, December 13, 2026
Dear Pink Ribbon 5K family,
We have an important update for our registered participants and everyone who has supported the Pink Ribbon 5K over the years.
Our in-person event, originally scheduled for Sunday, October 18, will move to Sunday, December 13, 2026. Our October 18 event will continue as a VIRTUAL 5K!
This was a difficult decision. Road construction around Lake David Park affects part of our race route. Rather than relocate, we are moving the in-person event to December so we can keep it at Lake David Park in Groveland, FL.
The new timing also supports preparations for Waterwell Farms’ grand opening and allows our small team to fulfill our October breast health service commitments while preparing the event our runners deserve.
If you are already registered:
You will receive a special VIRTUAL T-shirt.
Your registration remains active and paid in full for the rescheduled in-person event in December.
You do not need to register again or pay an additional registration fee.
On October 18, we invite you to run or walk your 5K wherever you are—in your neighborhood, on a favorite trail, or alongside friends. We can still turn breast cancer awareness into ACTION, even when we are taking our steps in different places.
We will share the virtual participation instructions, and T-shirt details soon. Past participants, we hope you will join us again and help spread the word!
We know this change may affect your plans, and we are sorry for the disruption. Thank you for your flexibility and for supporting access to breast health testing, patient advocacy, and care. Your support helps us save lives.
With gratitude,
Tracy Harris
