Naples Velo Bicycle Club will hold the third annual Jean Heuschen Memorial Ride with rides of 20, 30, 100 and 200 miles. The event will be held on Sunday February 19, 2023. The Jean Heuschen Memorial Ride is presented by Naples Cyclery/Fit & Fuel Cafe.
Admission is FREE. We encourage tax deductible donations of $25, $50 or $100 to the Jean Heuschen Cycling Safety Awareness Fund, administered by Naples Velo Cycling Alliance a 501(c)(3). This Fund will focus on financially supporting various forms of educational medium to enlighten cyclists, pedestrians and motorists about rules, laws, proper behavior and attitude needed to make our roads and streets in southwest Florida safe for all users
We invite cyclists of all ages and skill levels to join in celebrating the life of Jean Heuschen and helping to support cycling safety awareness here in Collier County by participating in this event.
All stages and rides will depart from Naples Cyclery side lot, 813 Vanderbilt Beach Rd, Naples, FL 34108 and return to the same location. A post-ride party at Fit & Fuel will follow the final stage.
The JH200 will be comprised of four stages. The pace will be controlled at 20-22 mph and there will be Rest Stops at Ave Maria and Marco Island on stages 1 & 3. Full tech support with sag vehicles.
Sign up all 4 stages for the full 200 miles or for 1, 2, or 3 stages to support your friends or customize your own ride for the miles you want. We encourage you to make the ride what you want for the day. Click on the links to see or download a route.
The JH100 is a 100-mile route at 18-21 mph. The 100 Mile ride is sponsored by Rupprecht Farms LLC. This ride is for those that want to ride a century. We also encourage riders to join for one stage (Stage 1 or Stage 2) and help fellow riders keep the pace to complete all 100 miles. Click on the links to see or download a route.
The Gordon Drive Ride is a 30-mile ride at 18 to 21 mph to the end of Gordan Drive and return.
The Family Ride is 4 laps in Pelican Bay, a 6.1-mile route. This ride is at the rider’s own pace with four laps around Pelican Bay for 24 miles.
