Come get your GLOW on at the beach for this FUN run, a FUNdraiser hosted by the Rotary Club of Downtown Ormond Beach on Saturday, January 18, 2019. Registration begins at 4:45 pm which is one hour prior to 5:51 pm sunset. This will be a timed event.

Get ready for an evening of glow in the dark fun on the beach!! The 2nd Annual GLOW 5K hosted by the Rotary Club of Downtown Ormond Beach was such a huge success in its inaugural year last year, that we’re doing it again this year, even bigger and better!!
The GLOW 5K sponsored by the Rotary Club of Downtown Ormond Beach is our signature event for raising funds for our community projects. So get your GLOW on……dress up in your brightest neon and glow in the dark colors. We will have GLOW products for runners to brighten up their costumes. Make it great as we will have a prize for the Best GLOW costume contest. Want to create a Group to run….GREAT…..just create a great name for your group and sign up? Get your family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, and classmates to sign up today in your group. The more the merrier as we run down the beach raising money for Rotary Club of Downtown Ormond Beach’s Service Projects.

SERVICE ABOVE SELF is what Rotary is all about!
This event is a fundraiser for the service projects, local and abroad, that Rotary Club of Downtown Ormond Beach supports. Currently, we are raising funds to build a $175,000 Downtown Ormond Beach Fit Loop that will encompass the 4 corners of the Granada Bridge. It’s an exciting project that will be our gift to the Ormond Beach community. We are excited and proud to announce that AdventHealth Daytona Beach has graciously agreed to be our Presenting Sponsor for the Fit Loop and all events this year!
Proceeds from this race will benefit projects and charitable causes supported by the Rotary Club of Downtown Ormond Beach, including but not limited to our Rotary Downtown Fit Loop at the 4 corners of the Granada Bridge, and support for Ormond Beach Elementary School, PACE Center for Girls, Provision Packs, local Boy Scouts, Honor Flights, and more.

How long is the course?
5K is 3.1 miles
How will I be timed?
This is a chip timed race and all participants will receive a bib with a chip attached to the back.
Who gets a shirt?
Only pre-registered runners that successfully complete the registration and payment process before January 9, 2020 are guaranteed a free race shirt.
What if I need help along the way?
Qualified emergency medical professionals are available to provide assistance at the start/finish lines.
Can I participate in the event with my dog?
Sorry, as much as we love our pets too, the safety of participants is our main concern. Therefore, we do not allow pets on the course.
I will be out of town on race day and not able to participate. Can I get my money returned?
We appreciate your race registration, but there is a no refund policy. We are not in a position to credit your credit card or issue checks. We appreciate your donation.
Will the race be held if it's raining?
The race is a "rain or shine" event. All participants are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather, such as in a rain coat or hat. Umbrellas can pose a safety hazard to others, so please do not bring them.
Can I transfer my entry to someone else?
We have a strict NO TRANSFER policy.
