Rotary Glow 5K
Description
RACE
Come get your GLOW on at the beach for this FUN run, a FUNdraiser hosted by the Rotary Club of Downtown Ormond Beach on Saturday, March 8, 2025. Registration begins at approximately 5:15 p.m. which is approximately 60-90 min. prior to race start of 6:45 p.m. (start time approximate based on sunset, will be adjusted as date approaches). This will be a timed event.

Get ready for an evening of glow in the dark fun on the beach for our SIXTH ANNUAL Glow 5k on!! Our Annual GLOW 5K has been a huge success in its last years, that we’re doing it again this year, even bigger and better!!
The GLOW 5K sponsored by the Rotary Club of Downtown Ormond Beach is our signature event for raising funds for our community projects. So get your GLOW on……dress up in your brightest neon and glow in the dark colors. We will have GLOW products for runners to brighten up their costumes. Make it great as we will have a prize for the Best GLOW costume contest. Want to create a Group to run….GREAT…..just create a great name for your group and sign up? Get your family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, and classmates to sign up today in your group. The more the merrier as we run down the beach raising money for Rotary Club of Downtown Ormond Beach’s Service Projects.

PACKET PICK UP
Bibs & Bags will be available for pickup on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. through 6:00 p.m. (Location TBD).
Runners may also check-in on the day of the race at the race location 30-60 minutes prior to the race.

This event is a fundraiser for the service projects, local and abroad, that Rotary Club of Downtown Ormond Beach supports. Proceeds from this race will benefit projects and charitable causes supported by the Rotary Club of Downtown Ormond Beach, including but not limited to our Rotary Downtown Fit Loop at the 4 corners of the Granada Bridge, and support for Ormond Beach Elementary School, Gold Choice senior home, and more.

How long is the course?
5K is 3.1 miles
How will I be timed?
This is a chip timed race and all participants will receive a bib with a chip attached to the back.
Who gets a shirt?
Only pre-registered runners that successfully complete the registration and payment process before February 7, 2025, are guaranteed a free race shirt or sizing. Registrants after this date will receive a t-shirt on an as available basis and sizes may not be guaranteed.
What if I need help along the way?
Emergency Services will be contacted for any emergencies. A beach safety specialist has been requested to be on site.
Can I participate in the event with my dog?
Sorry, as much as we love our pets too, the safety of participants is our main concern. Therefore, we do not allow pets on the course.
I will be out of town on race day and not able to participate. Can I get my money returned?
We appreciate your race registration, but there is a no refund policy. We are not in a position to credit your credit card or issue checks. We appreciate your donation.
Will the race be held if it's raining?
The race is a "rain or shine" event. All participants are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather, such as in a rain coat or hat. Umbrellas can pose a safety hazard to others, so please do not bring them.
Can I transfer my entry to someone else?
We have a strict NO TRANSFER policy.
