FISH OF SANCAP, Sanibel and Captiva islands only wrap–around social service agency provider, is pleased to welcome you for our annual race and music concert event – JOG N JAM -- scheduled for Sat., Nov. 1 (race) and Sat., Dec. 6, (concert).
The races on Nov. 1 will begin and end at the Sanibel Community House, 2173 Periwinkle and a kids’ run will follow at the Sanibel Community Park. The 10K will begin at 7:30 a.m. and the 5K starts at 7:45 a.m. with the awards ceremony following. We anticipate the kids’ fun run to start shortly after the awards. Each runner receives a finishers medallion and a T-shirt. Other awards include top female/male overall, 1st place female/male and age group, three deep, and these awards are given to in-person participants only and cannot be shipped. On Dec. 6, a music concert featuring The Ben Allen Band will be held at ‘Tween Waters beginning at 5:30p, complete with fireworks on the beach. Tickets for the concert may be purchased here . Onsite parking is available at “Tween Waters Resort & Spa is available on a limited basis. Overflow parking and bus transportation will be available. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets. Food and beverage will be available for purchase. The Ben Allen Band, known as a dynamic country act in Southwest Florida , is celebrated for its energetic performances and blend of country dance songs and heartfelt country truth, making them a popular choice for events. Ben Allen was a contestant on The Voice, where he was coached by Blake Shelton and later switched to Gwen Stefani's team.
The JOG N JAM event is a fundraiser for FISH, the island’s only human services organization. The organization, focused on 'neighbors helping neighbors' has a vision to create communities where all people have the support they need to thrive. Their mission is to enrich the lives of all people in Sanibel and Captiva islands by neighbors helping neighbors with social services, education, and assistance.
