Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. See USA Triathlon Youth Series for more information. Participants can earn points towards Series standings. In addition, use the code 26USATYouthSeries for 15% off the registration for either of our Youth races.
If you're interested in participating in the relay, but are either by yourself or you're short a member, send a note to racedirector@fawnlaketri.org. We don't have a formal "looking for team" process, but we're happy to keep track of folks looking for teams and try to connect people together.
This race has sold out the last few years, so there will be no race-day registration!
Fawn Lake Triathlon tries to be a family friendly race. You're encouraged to pick up the packets for all members of your family at once, however, it makes sense to have all members of the family there so that we can body mark everyone, make sure the registration is accurate, etc. Since everyone needs to get to the packet pickup location before the race for the body marking, picking up someone else's packet would be of limited utility.
No. We can't have dogs running on the bike course, and there is overlap between the bike and running routes.
No, there is not. Non-race related vehicle traffic is limited on the bike course prior to 11:00am. You're free to continue after that point, but the roads will be reopened. We've not had an issue even after some participants were significantly delayed due to equipment failures.
Forward the deferral email you received from last year to racedirector@fawnlaketri.org and we'll respond with instructions on how to register.
No. Vehicle traffic is limited on some portions of the course, but the roads are not closed. Please do not wear headphones or earbuds so that you can hear any vehicles that might be sharing the road with you.
For participants who are staying until after the awards ceremony (after all three races are complete), there is parking in the main parking lot near the start line. All other participants will be parked along Stonewall Jackson and Burnside roads.
Yes, parking is free. That said, if you are willing to pay for parking, all funds raised are being donated to worthy causes. Hit the Donate button on the website and throw a few bucks towards a local charity. :-)
There are no water stations on the bike course and one near the mid point of the running course (at the corner of Sheridan and Henegan).
