Pre-Race Meeting - 7:30am

A pre-race meeting will occur at 7:30am in the Transition Area. The race director will review the latest updates for the course, as well as basic event rules. The National Anthem will follow this meeting.

ALL Participants are strongly encouraged to attend this meeting, so be sure to pickup your race packet and have your gear setup in the Transition Area well before 7:30am.

The Swim

The swim will take place in Geist Reservoir. Participants will line up by bib #, with lower numbers going first. Your bib # will be determined by the swim ability you declare during registration. We will start swimmers every ~2 seconds, in a time-trial format.

Elite Wave:  There will be an elite wave starting first, which is reserved for athletes competing for the overall win.  This wave will start together and athletes must have a realistic chance of finishing in the top 3 in their gender.

The Duathlon

The first leg of the Duathlon (1.75 miles) will turn around at 104th Street. Once returning to the Transition Area, duathletes will complete the rest of the event with the triathlon participants (12 mile bike + 3.1 mile run).

The second leg of the Duathlon (3.1 miles) will cross 104th street (1 mile marker), turning left at 1.25 miles into Bee Camp Creek Trail, following the paved path to the 1.55 mile turn around.

The Aquabike

Athletes in the Aquabike will complete the swim and bike with the triathletes. However, upon re-entering the Transition Area after the bike, the race will be over. Your final time will register as you cross the timing mats next to the Transition Area. Aquabike competitors do NOT finish under the inflatable arch.

Timing Devices

Each participant will receive a MyLaps ankle strap with timing chip. Make sure you have this in place before the race starts. NO STRAP = NO TIME

Ankle straps must be removed and given to an event volunteer immediately after finishing. If you do not attend the race, you must return your ankle strap by Wednesday, May 21 to Tuxedo Brothers Event Management.

A $10 fee will be charged for lost/unreturned ankle straps.
