Fox's Hourglass Ultra is a 24-hour event where participants run a 4.167 mile marked loop on the hour every hour. Each loop begins exactly one hour after the last. If the participant is not in the starting corral for the initial start, the participant is disqualified and receives a “Did Not Finish” (DNF). Each participant must complete the loop and be back at the starting corral within the hour in order to continue. If a participant fails to start or finish a loop within the allotted hour, the participant is out of the race and receives a DNF. Note, the event can end prior to the 24th hour.
Q:) Is there a maximum number of participants for the event? Yes, we will have a maximum number of 40 participants.
Q:) What is the required gear for participants at Fox's Hourglass Ultra? The event will supply water and the standard ultra running event food. However, this will not be enough to sustain participants for the entire duration of the event. Plan to be self-supported for nutrition. Bring enough food to accomplish your goal.
