Welcome to the Fox’s Hourglass Ultra, a relentless test of mental grit, pacing, and pure endurance. There is no finish line in sight, no set distance, and no guaranteed end. There is only the top of the hour, the sounding of the whistle, and the next loop. We will follow the standard backyard ultra format with the exception of the time limit. Fox's Hourglass Ultra is a max of 24 hours. The event continues until only ONE runner remains, max of 24 hours. If there are multiple participants for the final 24th hour, the winner will be determined based on who completes the final lap first.

Fox's Hourglass Ultra is a 24-hour event where participants run a 4.167 mile marked loop on the hour every hour. Each loop begins exactly one hour after the last. If the participant is not in the starting corral for the initial start, the participant is disqualified and receives a “Did Not Finish” (DNF). Each participant must complete the loop and be back at the starting corral within the hour in order to continue. If a participant fails to start or finish a loop within the allotted hour, the participant is out of the race and receives a DNF. Note, the event can end prior to the 24th hour.
