Pre Race Information

Sunday August 11th
6:00 - 7:00am - Packet Pick Up
6:00 - 7:20am - Transition Open
7:00 - 7:20am - Pool open for warmup

7:30am - Race Start
10:15am - Course Closes
10:30am - Awards

Parking:
Parking will be in the pool parking lot.  Volunteers will assist you where to park.  For your safety and the safety of the participants, please plan on staying until at least the last biker is off of the course.

Packet Pickup:
6-7am Sunday.  You must pick up your own packet.  Participants that registered August 14th or prior will be guaranteed a shirt at packet pickup.

Swim:
300M Pool Swim.  We will go over the swim prior to the start of the event.

Bike:
12 Mile bike in the rolling hills outside of Willard

Bike Rules:

  • A helmet must be worn and buckled at all times that your bike is not attached to the bike racks.
  • You may only get on your bike once you have crossed the mount line, and must get off of your bike prior to crossing the dismount line.
  • No riding in transition at any time.
  • When leaving and returning the park and the city please be aware and pay attention to traffic, volunteers, and law enforcement on Jackson Street.  They will help you get through the major intersections, but it is your responsibility to pay attention to your surroundings.
  • Drafting is not allowed on the bike course.
  • You must slow down at the hairpin turn at FM Rd 44 and FM Rd 105.  This is at the bottom of a hill.  Volunteers will be there to instruct you to slow down.


Run:
3.1 miles out and back on the Frisco Highline Trail.  Please be courteous of other trail users and run on the right side of the trail.  Please look prior to turning around at the half way point.  A water station will be present at transition exit and at the run turnaround. 

We will be following all appropriate USAT Rules. you MUST Sign the insurance waiver on race morning; If you try to bypass this, you will be asked to leave with no refund, and blacklisted from any future Heartland Racing Co. Events.

Transition Rules:
Transition opens at 6am and closes promptly at 7:20am.  Transition must be cleared at that time.
No spectators are allowed in transition.
Each bike must be on a rack.  Up to 6 bikes to a rack, 3 on each side, alternating directions.
Your equipment must be placed next to your wheel, away from the rack.  Allow for up to 6 participants per rack.
No riding in transition.


Awards:
Every finisher will receive a medal.
1st place overall Male and Female
1st place Male and Female age groups19 and Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and Over
